The LX-380 combines an electronically controlled attenuator, LECUA, which carefully reproduces the dynamism of a musical performance, and a power amplifier circuit with rich musicality that uses 6L6GC output tubes, to create a special existence that allows you to deeply appreciate the appeal of sound sources created in various eras.
The LX-380, clad in the wooden case synonymous with the 38 series, is a new generation of vacuum tube pre-amplifier that exudes a hybrid appeal by exquisitely blending the latest technology with traditional know-how.
Output configuration with 6L6GC vacuum tubes
The LX-380 uses the 6L6GC beam power tube, which is known for its high quality, stable supply, and delicate, soft tone.
The LX-380 combines a Murad-type driver stage, which combines power and flexibility, with a beam-tube connected final stage consisting of a push-pull 6L6GC.
In addition, by adopting a fixed bias system where the grid voltage is always constant, a rated output of 20W + 20W (6Ω), which is necessary and sufficient for general home music reproduction, is realized.
This is not a design that aims for high power output in terms of specifications, but rather a design that provides a comfortable driving force that cannot be measured by numerical values, which is unique to tube amplifiers, by allowing more room for vacuum tubes and peripheral parts.
The result is a balance between a pleasant sense of power with audible drive and a lustrous, thick sound quality that cannot be measured by the numerical values of tube amplifiers.

Traditional knob layout and wooden box case
The elegant exterior of the case is made of 16mm MDF with a natural wood veneer finish in a "R" shape.
The combination of machined aluminum and resin knobs and lever switches are a perfect match with the layout of the past.
The well-balanced, full-size body with a width of 440mm creates an appearance with a sense of presence.
Full-fledged phono amplifier circuit
Analog records have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their rich tones.
Inheriting the philosophy of Luxman's pre-amplifiers, this model allows you to enjoy full-scale analog record playback without having to purchase a separate dedicated phono amplifier.
It has a built-in MM/MC compatible high-quality phono amplifier circuit with a semiconductor structure that allows users to enjoy full-scale analog record playback without having to purchase a separate dedicated phono amplifier.
It also has a subsonic switch that suppresses the wobble of the woofer caused by unwanted low-frequency signals due to the warping of analog records.
A monaural switch is provided on the front panel to operate Lch and Rch with the same signal when playing monaural records.

Two large speaker terminals
On the rear panel, there is an 18mm pitch gold-plated RCA terminal with a large plug that can be connected to a high-grade line cable.

The first vacuum tube amplifier with LECUA
LECUA, an original 88-step high-purity electronically controlled attenuator, is used for the first time in a vacuum tube amplifier to realize smooth volume control with minimal degradation in sound quality.
In addition, the preamplifier circuit is equipped with high quality sound and semiconductor circuitry proven in the L-590AX and other preamplifier series.
Separate amplifier structure for the future
The L-590AX is equipped with a separate switch that separates the pre/power circuits to enable bi-amp configuration with an additional power amplifier or coexistence with surround sound environment using an AV amplifier.
It has high expandability for the future. A headphone output terminal is also provided for convenient late-night listening.
Various functions in pursuit of expandability
An electronically controlled tone control function (bass/treble) allows detailed adjustment of sound quality to match the music source and listening environment.
The turnover frequency can be switched between three positions.
In addition, a volume linked loudness function is also available to moderately correct low and high frequencies according to human auditory characteristics.

It is equipped with a highly reliable signal switching circuit using a large, proven audio-specific relay and a newly developed high-quality, low-head capacitor.
The main signal wires inside are made of a unique OFC wire that enables natural signal transmission with a spiral wrap shield on each core and non-plating treatment of the core wires.
Luxman's unique round pattern circuit board is used to achieve smooth current transmission, taking into consideration the delicate flow of music signals.

Other mechanisms and included devices
A gold-plated, non-magnetic AC inlet allows for the attachment of an external power cable.
An aluminum remote control is included to control the volume from the listening position.
A genuine Luxman JPA-10000 power cable with OFC ultra-thick wire non-twist structure is included (marked with polarity).
