Selling this vintage early 1940s Orange and White slag color Agate Slag Glass Jar by Akro for the Pickwick Cosmetic Corporation. 2.75" in diameter and is 3" tall. The jar is embossed “Mexicali”, “PATENT APPLIED FOR”, and “PICKWICK COSMETIC CORPORATION, FIFTH AVE., NEW YORK” on the bottom of the base. One side of the base has an embossed figure of a seated Mexican taking a siesta under a cactus. The opposite side shows a seated Mexican man playing a guitar. These jars were originally distributed containing a spicy bath powder. After this was used, they became a handy cigarette holder or trinket, spice box. This is missing it's top. The condition is excellent.
