Still Spirits Alembic Pot Still

There is two ways to distill your wash. The traditional small batch distiller uses the Turbo 500 Still to distill alcohol to create a pure clean spirit with no taste or flavours at all. The second way is to use the Alembic Still to distill alcohol that contains flavours where the home distiller wants to collect and retain the character of the original alcohol

These additions transform the T500 boiler/Grainfather into an Alembic Pot Still. Instead of stripping flavours to give clean spirit like the T500, this pot still retains and enhances flavours. This can be used when distilling washes that contain flavours that you wish to collect.

The Pot Still Alembic Condenser: is best used with the T500 Boiler and the Pot Still Alembic Dome Top. You can use this with the T500 Boiler without the Pot Still Alembic Dome Top, to do this it fits on to the lid of the T500 Boiler. This condenser is what differentiates this still from the T500. It is what retains the flavour rather than stripping it out by refluxing. This comes with a thermometer, tubing and tap adapter set.

The Pot Still Alembic Dome Top: is copper and fits on to your T500 Boiler. This can be used in place of the T500 Boiler's stainless steel lid. The large copper surface area of this dome top acts as a catalyst with the vapor in the still and helps enhance and concentrate the flavours and aromas as well as remove unwanted sulphur compounds. This produces a smoother, richer, sweeter tasting spirit.

25L Stainless Steel Electrical Turbo Boiler 2000W: This Electrical Turbo Boiler is designed for Homebrew beer and Spirits use. It has 2000W rated power and 24L net volume which can cover most of usage for homebrew and distillation.
This boiler is made of Stainless Steel with concealed heating elements inside. It has dry boil protection function so you won't worry about burning of your wort. Just push the re-set button on bottom of the boiler to resume normal use

Legality:
Is it legal to use a still in Australia & New Zealand?
AUSTRALIA:
in Australia you can use a still of up to 5lt capacity without a distillers licence for either water purification or essential oil extraction. In New Zealand, Switzerland and Italy it is legal to own a still and use it to extract alcohol.
Please note: You must have a license to produce alcohol using a still in Australia. It is not legal to separate water and alcohol via distillation in a still without a permit.
NEW ZEALAND:
In New Zealand it is legal to use up to a 25L still at home to produce spirit for home consumption.

  Anyone local to the North East of Victoria is welcome to pick up or inspect items at our retail shop. This is located at shop 2 / 159 Vincent Rd Wangaratta. Opening hours are 8.30am-5.30pm Monday-Friday & 8.00am-1.00pm on Saturdays.

  A refund or replacement will be offered if the item is faulty or does not work as described. Refunds will not be issued on a change of mind basis, if the item is returned in a suitable condition to re-sell then an exchange may be considered.
