ER32-NUT Dimension
All Accusize ER collet chucks are designed and made in accordance with ISO 15488:2003(E). Especially, the eccentric design of the inside of the collet nut aims to help increase the capacity of the collet nut and improve the assembling and disassembling efficiency of the entire work process.
ER Collets are widely used in CNC machining for its great versatility. Inevitably, the locking nut is to be loosened and tightened very often as the collets/tool bits change frequently, which may cause damage.
Do not change the entire holder when only locking nut loosens. Find the next nut here and get your tool back to work as new.
Eccentric Design, ISO 15488:2003(E)The inside of the ER collet nut is intentionally designed like off-centering to help mount the ER collet much easier. It is in accordance with the requirements listed in ISO 15488:2003(E). If it is made symmetrical, the ER collet with the diameter larger than the inside size of the collet nut cannot be installed. | AssembleInsert the ER collet into the nut at an angle. Lock it onto the eccentric groove of the collet nut and push it in. (Insert the cutter right after the step, before connect it to the holder/chuck/arbor.) | InspectionInspect the runout of the ER collet, ER collet nut, ER collet holder/chuck/arbor, etc. | DissembleTake out the tool bit, press the end of the ER collet until the collet off the position. Push it out of the nut. (after take out the nut out of the holder.) |
