Authentic Titanic Fabric from the Nationally Exhibited TitanicItems Collection

The first and original seller of affordable Titanic relics

About the Fabric

Prior to the maiden voyage in April 1912, Titanic's finishing touches were made in Belfast, Ireland. A traveling merchant seaman visited the then famous ship in the final fitting-out stage and decided to take a piece of scrap fabric as a souvenir. He gave this sizeable piece of green baize to his sister, who later passed it down to her daughter-in-law. It stayed with the same family until 1998. The green baize in this display is a small piece of that souvenir scrap fabric.

It has been on public display at the 2017 Ronald Reagan National Library Titanic Exhibit in Simi Valley, CA and at the 2018 National Geographic Titanic Museum Exhibit in Washington DC and personally viewed by James Cameron and Dr. Robert Ballard.

Certificate of Authenticity

Each two-inch display is signed on the back by a respected 20-year established collector and researcher, well-known throughout the hobby. The attractive hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity details the fabric/material's origins and its fabulous historic journey through the years.

The sturdy display is a two-piece 2" x 2" (two inches) clear plastic snap case. The fabric used in the photograph will not be the exact one shipped, actual piece may slightly vary in size, shape and possibly in shade. Free US shipping will be standard first-class in a padded envelope for added protection. Handling time is typically one-day. If not 100% satisfied you may return it at your expense pursuant to eBay rules.

The pieces are shipped protected in double bubble wrap but every so often these packages are roughed up by the postal service. Not liable for damaged items resulting from their mishandling.
