Plat Anglais de 1890s Ford & Sons Bleu Profond "Oxford"

Plateau circa 1890 au graphisme saisissant est une pièce de transfert en bleu profond, fabriquée à l'époque victorienne dans le Staffordshire, en Angleterre. Il est clairement indiqué au revers du motif «Oxford» F & Soon. Le motif Oxford est très graphique avec un rouleau victorien répétitif de roses entrelacées. La forme du plateau est rectangulaire. La marque arrière est un cartouche clair qui lit F & Soon "Oxford" Burslem. C'est la marque de Ford & Sons. Thomas Ford 1824-1897 est né à Church Grisely, Derbyshire, Angleterre et mort à Burslem, Staffordshire. Lui et sa femme Ann Ford 1828–1872 (également connue sous le nom de Fanny Till Ford) ont eu au moins 10 enfants, et son fils aîné Elijah Ford 1840-1881 était impliqué dans le commerce, ainsi que ses nombreux autres fils William, John, Henry , James, Harry, Thomas Jr. et Frederick Ford. Antique English Flow Blue Graduated Platters F & Sons Oxford Burslem

A strikingly graphic 1890's platter is a transferware piece in deep flow blue, made in the Victorian era in Staffordshire, England. It is clearly marked on the reverse of being the F & Soon "Oxford" pattern. The Oxford pattern is very graphic with a repeating Victorian scroll of intertwining roses. The platter shape is rectangle.

The backmark is a clear cartouche that reads F & Soon "Oxford" Burslem. This is the mark of Ford & Sons. Thomas Ford 1824-1897 was born in Church Grisely, Derbyshire, England and died in Burslem, Staffordshire. He and his wife Ann Ford 1828–1872 (also known as Fanny Till Ford) had at least 10 children, and his eldest son Elijah Ford 1840-1881 was involved in the trade, as well as his many other sons William, John, Henry, James, Harry, Thomas Jr., and Frederick Ford.

The Ford mark and name became later known as "Ford & Sons Ltd" after 1908.
