Arno Malinowski (1899-1976)

Arno Malinowski was employed as a sculptor by the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory between the years 1921 and 1935. Originally trained as an engraver, he continued his education at the School of Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen 1919-1922. Here, he showed an early aptitude for working in bronze and for the decorative arts.

While at the factory he developed a refined porcelain style of his own that bears witness to a sure sense for the material. He achieved a breakthrough with a series of works, amongst which was the Bali Dancer (Royal Copenhagen 12238 Bali Dancer 29 cm), at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1925, receiving distinction, and his figures were accepted as some of the best of the Danish
Condition of the item.
If nothing is noted about the condition of the item we have for sale, then the item will be in good condition. For porcelain items it indicate, no chips, cracks, repairs or major usage signs. For silver and gold items it indicate, no dents, repairs, major scratches, engravings / monograms.
We do not like to use phrases as "super condition", "fantastic condition", but we believe in delivering a good product. So most of our Georg Jensen hollowware has been by our silversmithy for a touch up, so they are ready to use or present as a gift.
