This icon pendant depicts Saint Empress Helena the Equiapostolic. The holy and right-believing Empress Helen (also Helena and Elena), Equal to the Apostles (c. 248 – c. 329), was the mother of Emperor Saint Constantine the Great. Her feast day is on May 21, together with her son. Saint Helena was renowned during her lifetime for the acquisition of the Life-Giving Cross of Christ after having completed her pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

The pendant is double-sided. The inscription on the reverse side: "Спаси и сохрани" (Bless and Save)
