This original dated map was printed in 1930 by Ordnance Survey. 

It is one of a series of maps produced for "The War in the Air".  

This Fold-Out map is in particularly good condition and looks to have had little or no use.

The War in the Air:  This remains one of the most important accounts of early aerial warfare and the formation of the Royal Flying Corps and the Naval Air Service.  The official history of the part played in the Great War by the Royal Air Force.   Based chiefly on the records of the Air Ministry, collected and preserved by the historical section.  Supplemented by the contributions of many military and naval officers and civilian experts.  In all there were six volumes of text plus 2 cases of maps and a supporting volume of appendices.  Published between 1922 and 1937.  The complete set contains some outstanding maps.
