Beautiful patina in nice condition overall

Stamped DR and a German eagle on back

Makers mark on front. All hinges and parts work

Original Reichsbahn lantern from period 1935- 1945 and in very nice unrestored condition. Lamp has typical characteristic of the maker Görlitzer Blechwarenfabrik Wilhelm Köhler

The lantarn is well preserved, the glass is in good condition but may have been replaced

Behind the glass screen is a removal brass carbide burner. Either side of the lamp are doors that allow light to come out. The back of the lamp bears the embossed WWII military DR and ‘Reichsadler’ (Imperial Eagle) logo.

The top of the lamp has a wooden carry handle.The 2 red side windows appear to be modern and plastic. Some glue, probably glue gun helps to keep the red plastic windows in place.

Carbide lamp inside does not appear to be original,but is a same period piece it appears to be in working condition.Some original paint remains.
