Vintage Hand Painted Overjoy Hong Kong Porcelain Vase Vases Pots Oriental Asian

This listing is for a rare and highly collectable fine porcelain vase/pot with wooden stand dating back to the mid 20th century.

The design features beautiful hand-painted Cherry Blossom decorations in enamel.

Made by Overjoy of Hong Kong in the 1950's-1960's.

The Overjoy factory has been winding down to a close over the last decade as many of the artists responsible for these beautiful pieces of work are reaching the end of their careers.

With only a few artisans left to continue the traditional style, hand-painted porcelain is now a dying art in Hong Kong.

The base of the vase/pot bears the 'Overjoy Hand Painted In Hong Kong' hallmark and there is a small drainage hole in the centre.

It dates to circa 1950-1960.
