I suggest replacing both gearboxes at once. If one is stripped or broken, the other is usually not in very good shape either. While you have the vehicle taken apart, replace them both. The older versions of this motor/gearbox had a metal plate screwed to the gearbox. The most current version of this motor gearbox does not have the metal plate attached. Please see pictures above for reference.
