Hi, up for auction is a very beautiful bowl, with a scalloped rim. We picked up at a moving sale. Right about two years ago, we are not specialists in Asian antiques, but this looks like it could be Chinese. Could this be an export prototype we don't know, the width of this bowl is 10 7/8" at the top. the bottom is 4 3/4" this item is multicolored with a rooster, peacock and some other birds that are flying. There is a boat, the boat did not show up to well in the picture, it is long and blurred from the camera, but it is beautiful,  with what looks like a royal palace, some plants a tree and pots. This bowl has discoloration, crazing with some fading in what color is left, we took our magnifying glass, for a closer look and discovered, the outside of the bowl was also painted, but the paint must have faded with time. We noticed what looks like some spur marks, we believe to be glaze pops, from the firing of the piece. There is five chips on the rim, with some gold paint on the bottom of this piece, also there is four, finger nail hairline cracks around the bowl, we took our finger nail to feel them. The black, blue, green, red and gold are very beautiful! This bowl is not marked, but has pretty nice weight to it, also there may be a  small scratch or two in the decoration, beside the stuff mentioned. I would say there is no real damage for how old it looks. Thank you for taking the time to look at our auction.
