The largest cactus in pictures is the mother plant. I have had this plant for about 10 years and it stays small and grows slow. The thorns are extremely feisty, but easy to manage as you can trim them easily with a pair of scissors and does no harm to the cactus.

It blooms well from Springtime to Early summer. Flowers are white with light pink stained around edged of petals. The blooms will be larger than the cactus itself and hold its ‘head’ up high for the day while it blooms. It attracts lots of pollinators. The cactus can stay adorably small for long and will bloom while small or big, as long as it has become well-established.

CARE INFO:

Moist well drained soil, the least amount of mulch or mulch mix of possible in soil. Well lit area, great for indoor or outdoor.

Can withstand frost or consecutive cold days of 30s. Light frost does not do them damage. But this plant is usually so small it is easy to move about if you want to give it extra care from cold.
