Portland Ceramic Compost Caddy - White - Kitchen Compost Bin

Gone are the days of hiding your plastic kitchen compost caddy in your cupboard. You will want to show this beautiful, Portland ceramic caddy off to all your friends and family. They probably won’t know it is for food waste because of the cleverly designed bag-retaining ring to keep your liner hidden. These ceramic caddies are fully glazed inside for ease of cleaning; however, we would recommend using the 5L or 6L compostable bags to keep the inside of your caddy as clean as possible.

Just because these caddies are lovely to look at, this does not mean they lack practicality. The lid contains holes to let the caddy breath and includes a carbon filter (plus one spare) to help keep odours to a minimum.  

Cleaning and use
If you are going to place this caddy on a delicate surface, it is recommended that you place it on a mat to prevent scratching. Your caddy can be cleaned by washing in hot soapy water. Remove the filter and ring first and ensure the caddy can dry thoroughly before putting back on your worktop to avoid possible staining.

How often should I change the filter?
We recommend that you replace the filters in your compost caddy every 3-4 months, or sooner if odours become noticeable. You can purchase the recommended Portland filters separately by searching for them within our Auntie Morags eBay store.
