This listing is for a Vintage Japanese Decorative Charger Plate. This plate is so beautiful and has a great handpainted design accented with rich colored glazes. I believe it is a Katani piece based on my research, but I have no provenance and I am by no means an expert on Japanese Pottery. It does has a red caligraphy style underglazed mark on the back containing character marks frequently found on Katani pieces. Additionally it is decorated in the style of Katani pieces. I purchased this plate from an estate sale. This item is in great condition and appears to have a crackle glaze. This plate is 12" in diameter and has no chips, cracks, or other notable damages aside from minor scratches (see pics). Check out my store to see other great vintage and antique items.
