Dark Fire Opal Bracelet from Taxco Mexico
This is a silver plated bracelet, hand made in Taxco, Mexico with inlaid lab opals. The bracelet is hinged and opens for easy access. Simply press across the diameter of the bracelet and it releases. The bracelet measures 7-½ inches around. It is 2 inches wide by ⅜ inch tall (between the hinges where the opals are).
About Silver Plating…
Silver plating consists of a base metal electroplated with 100% pure silver. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver, the remainder can be any metal. Silver plating puts 100% pure silver against your skin!
About lab opal…
Laboratory opal is man-made but not synthetic. It is grown for over a year and has a structure very similar to natural precious opal. Lab opals have significant advantages over naturally occurring opals. The first is cost, precious opals are rare and expensive. In addition, lab grown opals do not contain water (natural opals do) and are not prone to cracking. Lastly, the color is stable.
