A little bit of history:

Brun de Vian-Tiran is an eight generation manufacture located in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in the South of France. The original mill was founded more than 200 years ago in 1808 by father, Charles Tiran, and son-in-law, Laurent Vian. Brun de Vian-Tiran revolutionized the blanket-making world in 1961 with the creation of the first Mohair blanket. In 2009, they were honored to receive the "Living Heritage Enterprise".

They are known as the factory of noble fibers as they now work with a wide range of outstanding fibers: mohair, wool, alpaca, camel, llama, cashmere and very rare materials like cashgora and yangir. Their mohair fiber comes from the hair of the Angora goat whose name originates from the Ankara region in Turkey.

Here are some interesting facts:

HEALTH
Scientific studies over more than thirty years have proved that natural wool fibers possess a number of comfort qualities: temperature and humidity regulation, wear, softness, and volume never equalled by a synthetic fiber. No wool fiber allergy has ever been recorded and it has been demonstrated that wool does not favor the development of allergens. Brun de Vian-Tiran uses only natural fibers.
