1893 World’s Fair Melzer’s Soap Baby Souvenir.

This comes to me from a very large collection of souvenir dolls from around the world.

This sweet little baby measures 2 1/4” long. The box is long gone but the owner lovingly kept it safe with some batting in a Ball capsule.

The scrapbook in the photos contains a plethora of information about this woman’s collection. There are 2 pages, in particular, that pertain to this pipsqueak.

1.) The date her mother acquired it for her.

2.) A short article by Mary Louise Benham titled “My Soap Doll”.

3.) The original 1893 issued paper for Fair guests about their presence at the fair, mentioning their souvenir to assist memory of products in the future.

Included in this lot are Soap baby in container, short article removed from book page and the complete page pertaining to Melzer’s . (Does not include the whole book as there are many dolls yet to list).
