A dainty and unusual vintage coffee cup and saucer by Carl Tielsch (CT), Altwasser, Silesia, Poland, in the mid 1920s. Pale yellow on white porcelain (the yellow looks airbrushed on in places), Art Deco style handle, and hand painted folk art style gold floral details. Stamped with an eagle and “C.T. Altwasser Silesia” in green on the bottom of the cup, a stamp used from 1925 to 1927.

*Slightly larger than a demitasse cup and smaller than a standard tea cup.* The cup measures 2-3/4” high, 2-7/8” in diameter. The saucer measures 5-3/4” in diameter.

In good preowned condition. No chips or cracks. There is wear to the gold rim on the cup, especially on one side. See images for details.
