The bottom wood part is shaped like a woman's bust with a carved wooden bead necklace and highly detailed hand carved inset jade and carnelian shapes.  One carved jade shape (lower left) is missing and the one on the lower right is missing the bottom portion.

The top part of this sculpture is made from heavy carved glass that is translucent.  7 of the 8 corners of the glass at the top have chipped.  This is not noticeable; you have to run your fingers over the points in order to feel the chips.  The glass is gorgeous and is very angular in form, as in an art deco design.  

Found in Richmond, Virginia about 30 years ago.

You will never see an antique sculpture like this again.  It is truly one of a kind and a very old artifact.
