Christer Sjögren (1926-2008) è stato uno scultore e designer di vetro svedese. Formatosi alla Konstfack (Scuola di Arte e Design) di Stoccolma 1947-53 e poi alla Konstakademien (Accademia di Belle Arti) 1953-58. Ha lavorato alla fabbrica di vetro Lindshammar dal 1962 al 2003 ricoprendo per molti anni il ruolo di responsabile artistico.
Accanto alla produzione seriale (non firmata dall'artista) esistono alcuni pezzi realizzati direttamente dal maestro, firmati.
Opere di Christer Sjögren sono esposte in musei nazionali ed internazionali come il British Museum di Londra, che dedica una pagina del proprio sito al Maestro.

Beautiful candlestick made by the Swedish master glassmaker Christer Sjögren for Lindshammar.

Signed on the base Cr. Sjögren 1987. The original sticker of the manufacturer Lindshammar Sweden is present.

Christer Sjögren (1926-2008) was a Swedish glass sculptor and designer. Trained at the Konstfack (School of Art and Design) in Stockholm 1947-53 and then at the Konstakademien (Academy of Fine Arts) 1953-58. He worked at the Lindshammar glass factory from 1962 to 2003 and held the position of artistic manager for many years.
Alongside the serial production (not signed by the artist) there are some pieces made directly by the master, signed.
Works by Christer Sjögren are exhibited in national and international museums such as the British Museum in London, which dedicates a page of its website to the Master.
