There is no display on screen, just a red flashing standby light.

The TV display has returned by itself occasionally when the TV has been left idle for certain lengths of time or when trying different HDMI ports. When this happens, everything works perfectly fine until the TV is powered off and then the problem returns.

The LCD screen itself isn't damaged and is in full working order so the issue looks to be with the power. Having done some basic research initially, all indications suggest the issue lies with a bad power supply/faulty capacitor or in some cases a glitched HDMI link. The power supply/faulty capacitor looks to be a fairly cheap and easy repair for someone who knows what they are doing.

This happened during the Christmas holidays and the family wasn't happy, so i was left with no choice but to rush out and buy a new TV. As a result, i have no interest in repairing this one.

The TV is in good overall condition cosmetically. There are some minor marks and scratches from age and a large crack on the plastic bezel at the top. The crack is not on the screen itself, just the plastic bezel and does not effect the functionality of the TV in anyway. The remote control is in full working order.
