So let's just be logical and before going any further, I invite you to look on Youtube under Arthur's circa 1885 Ullmann polyphone because, of course, you should hear it first.
Now, I continue my living estate sale with this  wonderful 19th century Swiss professionally restored inlaid Rosewood, 8 - Airs, 3-bell, 35 tooth comb and cylinder, circa 1885 Charles Ullmann (presumed) Polyphone (music box). This music box is 14" w x 9" d x 7" h and is solid rosewood with beautiful floral inlays on front and top and 4 solid corner feet. My presumption of Charles Ullmann as manufacturer comes from an identical 8-airs song sheet found in the book "Tune Sheets by Bulleid" from an Ullmann box of similar year. I have not identified the unique cartouch (trademark) with the wording Marque Deposee, the Swiss cross, and the interesting center symbol. I believe it to be tied to the dealer or importer. There are a few different hand written notations on the bottom of the box. One I presume to be by the artisan who built the unit. The writing appears to state Marquedee Indie, or a variation very close to that. The other primary name I know is left by G A Bidden of Barrington R I who professionally restored this unit in 1976. It's condition and operation certainly represent his fine craftsmanship and you can trace his name to any number of fine restored Polyphones. Other markings seem to be manufacturing notations and numbers.
To again switch gears to logic, it is easily $1,000 to $2,000 to have a fine 19th century Polyphone professionally restored so it makes entire sense to purchase a unit you can be immediately proud of and hold value in. Beautiful condition, beautiful sound, tremendous quality all the way through. For home or a wonderful keepsake gift, this unit would be an excellent choice.
