Up for sale is a wonderful antique bronze patinated figural cast iron expandable book shelf.
It's made of thick cast iron, is done with a very elaborately cast reticulated design, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.
The hinged bookends feature medieval knights in full armor surrounded by ornate scroll detailing.
Each bookend is mounted to three cylindrical rods that are expandable and collapsable.
It's in nice antique condition and each end measures 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall.
At its largest adjustment it measures 212 1/2 inches and at its shortest it measures 11 3/4 inches long.
