• A very rare , vintage, fibreglass, one side of a rocking horse mould.
The bodies were constructed from fibreglass, for durability, and were moulded from original Victorian rocking horses.
This one has a lovely biscuit colour, and is a beautiful piece of sculpture in its own right. I've seen many antique much smaller horse moulds, mounted on a pole and a block, so they are able to stand alone, pivoted in the air, if this makes sense. You might consider doing the same to this mould but equally it is such a show stopper in its own right, that placed perhaps on a console against the wall, or leaning against the wall, would be enough.
I've hunted the web to try and find another and have only found one other - complete. In all my years of trading, I've never seen, let alone owned anything like this. Genuinely one of my all time favourite unique finds. I'm guesstimating it's circa 1970s.
