Hi thank you for your interest, this is a rare Antique Silver Plated Mappin Webb Prince’sPlate Sheffield Fruit Basket , Bowl”9.5 inches in diameter and 6inches tall approximately.

Famous house Mappin and Webb with 241 years history always making highly collectable items with amazing quality.

This particular item has no date mark therefore very hard to tell it’s exact age. The prince’s plate was advertised from 1890’s and stands for a higher quality of 3 times silver plated items.

This fruit basket has a solid standing centre handle with 3d design of

Oak tree sticks and oak tree leaves, while inside decoration of the bowl represents a bouncy of flowers with margaritas and Lilly of the valley.

On the bottom the marking is clear:

Triple deposit , Mappin and Webb’s Prince’s Plate London and Sheffield

With a numeric mark : W8838. As per pictures.

Please note this is an old even antique piece therefore has age related marks slight scratches and plated metal tarnished here and there, however a beautiful solid piece with no

Dents or any other big faults. Absolutely quality heavy and highly collectable antique stunning fruit bowl/basket .
