Rare stencilled Aesthetic design a fabulous tile to add to any collection especially as this technique was only used by George Woolliscroft & Son.

I had never come across this method of Stenciled design it was sponged on to paper then applied to the tile.

It has some tiny nibbles on the surface all in the top right quarter of the tile,.there are two pimples on the surface on the outside dark edge and a couple of manufacturing flaws were the top glaze hasn't quite covered the tile on the top edge.

It came on two different back patterns some have the reg number and the pattern number and a the monogram DFCO and the initials DF next to the pattern number 596.

Unfortunately this one has no details on the back.
