This is a complete installation kit for replacement controls for AR's AR-5 speaker.  One kit is sufficient for one cabinet.  You will pay your bid price times the number of kits you select.

After many requests, we have developed a complete kit of parts necessary to replace the often troublesome controls in the AR-5 speaker without the need of soldering inside the cabinet. The kit includes 2 controls with the correct color coded connecting wires already attached, wire nuts to make the necessary connections, wire ties to neaten the installation, color illustration instructions and a detailed set of instructions for removal of the front grille. This control is superior to the original control which AR used. It is heavy duty, has finer turns for better stability, is ventilated for heat removal and has excellent contact life.  I use these in all my AR speaker restorations unless my customer insists on refurbishment of the original. I have been using these on a regular basis for over ten years, have sold a great number and have never had to replace one. The only tools required are a pair of pliers, wire cutting pliers and preferably, wire strippers. As there is no soldering required, this kit will greatly simplify and speed up the installation.

I strongly suggest that you order a package of AR cabinet sealer with this kit, available in Dept. OTHER SPEAKER SERVICE PARTS. AR Acoustic Suspension speakers rely on a well sealed cabinet for reproduction of those low bass notes. Don't try and reuse the old, hard sealer. The original AR control knob found on the AR-3a and AR-5 is an exact fit and we have these in stock if you would like to add them for a nice finishing touch, also in Dept. OTHER SPEAKER SERVICE PARTS. If you are suspicious of your crossover capacitors, this might be a good time to replace them, we usually have them in stock in Dept. SPEAKER CROSSOVER CAPACITORS.
