An Astronomical Diary, Or, An Almanack For.1759.

By Nathaniel Ames

Published:  Printed and Sold by Draper, Green & Russell, & Fleet. Boston. 1758.

22 pp. The title page features a woodcut of the solar system, with a key to the six planets portrayed. The path of a comet is also shown, with the notation: "N.B. At the writing this, it was not determined whether Comet would appear or not, as expected." A three-page explanation of the solar system follows the calendar pages. Evans 8072. Drake 3113. O'Neal 78. Hamilton 1314.

Rubberstamp on front cover.  Most samples I see call for 24 pp., but this copy has 22 pp., so it may lake the last leaf.

I've done my best to describe the work, but if you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail.
