Midway's The Bee Game, not to be confused with Activision's Bee Movie Game, is based on a series of children's books starring Maya the Bee and her closest friend Willie. After a storm whisks away some of their fellow bees, the daring duo embark on a quest to find and return their friends safely home. Their travels will take them across a meadow, forest, pond, cavern, and a garden, each featuring a number of colorful enemies. Spiders, grasshoppers, ants, and other insects must be defeated by "bee bopping" on their heads. Maya's wings allow her to hover jump for a short time, but in order to keep her strength up, she needs to find flowers and absorb their power-packing pollen. The DS version also includes three touch-screen mini-games and a stylus-based coloring activity.
