The Daily Graphic was a daily newspaper with a special emphasis on pictures compared to many other daily papers of the time. These vintage issues are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures (in black & white) of these First World War issues are particularly interesting! There are details about the War both on land and sea, a list of casualties (The Roll of Honour) of officers killed, wounded or missing. There is also news from Great Britain and abroad.

  • Allies Counterblast to German Success in East Prussia
  • The Fighting Day by Day - Momentous Happenings on the East Prussian Border
  • High Seas Murder Begins - Sinking of SS Cambank, a Cardiff Steamer by Torpedo
  • Dardanelles Bombarded
  • Death of Sir Robert Lucas-Tooth
  • Mentioned in Despatches
  • Two VC Heroes: James MacKenzie, John Hogan - small mention about each with picture

THIS NEWSPAPER IS AN ORGINAL (not a modern facsimile)

The newspaper is large format, measuring appoximately 43cm by 31cm, with 20 pages. It is printed on newsprint paper. It has been folded and will be sent FOLDED.

Condition: The newspaper is in very good vintage condition, showing some reading wear and creasing to the covers, the newspaper has been folded, plus the paper is fragile and tanned with age. Given that the newspaper is over 100 years old, its condition is very good, but certainly not perfect! The newspaper pictured below is the ones you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
