Terms and policies of sale, refunds and warranty
All of our dog collars are custom made to order and also personalized.
Since all of our items are customized and personalized returns cannot be accepted. However, we do take pride in our work and if the issue was caused by our workmanship or manufacturing, we will fix the issue.
It is extremely important to order the correct size, always better to go an inch higher as you usually have enough room to down size by a few inches. Growing puppies outgrow collars fast, please choose the correct size.
Materials, Webbing, and Buckles
Our buckles range from value line plastic which even though high quality USA made plastic side release, they will break. These are made for dogs that will not chew or heavily pull and play rough with. We cannot be responsible for plastic value line collars that break. If you leave the collar out, a working dog will chew and break the buckle. If you have a working dog that pulls or is in training for drive, a plastic buckle is not suitable. These collars are intended for dogs that do not chew, bite or play hard. They have the same look as our Cobra buckle collars and allow people to purchase them at a value price. There will be no refunds or compensation for plastic buckle activities.
Austri Alpin Cobra Buckles are the best buckles available for dog collars, we use them in a matte black color and with regular usage, they can chip and become distressed. The mechanisms are strong and are suitable for people with dogs that will pull, and abuse the buckle in anyway. Spec Dogs cannot be responsible for the mistreatment of buckles or the discoloration, chipping or any damage done to the buckles. There will be no refunds due to buckle activities.
Cobra GT Genuine buckles are made of a high quality polymer plastic and are one step above our value line plastic buckles. While they are made and look better than the value line plastic, they can still break, become chipped or distressed and Spec Dogs cannot be responsible or give refunds due to normal dog activities.
We use a genuine MilSpec webbing from a military supplier/manufacturer in the USA. This webbing will fade in time, it gets softer, more comfortable and naturally fades and loses its original luster, just as any military gear does. Spec Dogs is not responsible of the fading of any printed webbing that we sell. This is completely normal and expected.
Our patches can be short lived depending on the activities of the dog. We use the highest quality fonts available and have tested them with our own dogs for several months at a time. For us they last just fine and stay in excellent shape, but we like to point out that if the dog is rough with them, they are not bullet proof. So like any other component, they will last for however long the activities of the dog allows.
Our guarantee is that we use the highest quality materials when making these collars. We use commercial sewing machines with high quality nylon thread. We test our dog collars with working dogs for more than a month at a time. We are only human, if we make an error or our stitching has become an issue due to our mistake. We will gladly exchange the collar within the normal 30 days guarantee period.
