Lady in Red

by Barry John Freeman

The appearance of one of Sir William Stanier's 'Princess Royals' always created something of a stir amongst the lineside audience, perhaps because there were only a dozen of them.

Here, No. 46207 'PRINCESS ARTHUR OF CONNAUGHT' takes water from Bushey troughs with an 'up' Anglo-Scottish express.

The picture is set in 1958, soon after No. 46207 was repainted in the LMS Crimson Lake style of livery, one of four to be so treated.

A superlative picture in a 30 x 24 cm, (12 x 10 inch) size clipframe.

The picture offered does NOT have the "SAMPLE" watermark!!
