Lady in Red
by Barry John FreemanThe appearance of one of Sir William Stanier's 'Princess Royals' always created something of a stir amongst the lineside audience, perhaps because there were only a dozen of them.
Here, No. 46207 'PRINCESS ARTHUR OF CONNAUGHT' takes water from Bushey troughs with an 'up' Anglo-Scottish express.
The picture is set in 1958, soon after No. 46207 was repainted in the LMS Crimson Lake style of livery, one of four to be so treated.A superlative picture in a 30 x 24 cm, (12 x 10 inch) size clipframe. The picture offered does NOT have the "SAMPLE" watermark!!
