The Red book

This is a gem of Australia Philately,  issued by Australia Post to introduce the third collection of engraved (intaglio) stamp proofs printed from their original steel dies. This volume was issued to honour the fiftieth anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The collection comprised 32 proofs printed in red depicting examples of royal portrait stamps and housed in archival mounts, printed from dies by Avon Graphics in Melbourne.
In this collection, for the first time examples of unissued Australian stamps were included. These stamps were intended for issue and developed to the stage where dies were engraved, but the stamps were subsequently abandoned.
The book comes with beautiful slip cover without any fault as could be observed from the photo. The corners of the book were made by gold-coloured metallic.
The book is from my personal collection, in perfect quality without being used from the day I received it.
