Model year 1953 trucks will simply use the information in the 1952 supplement; because the trucks are nearly identical Chevy didn’t issue a new manual in ‘53. Series) 1/2 thru 2 Ton Truck" and the 1440 page "1929-1958 Chevrolet Parts and Accessories Catalog" the same books that the Chevy dealer parts departments used to order parts. These books will make your search for parts both quicker and easier. You will find the original part numbers, which are still useful today because most vendors still use factory numbers to keep track of their stock. The illustrations in the book will help you to identify parts.

The CD also includes the "1947-1954 Chevrolet Truck Factory Assembly Manual." It shows exploded views of nearly every part of the truck, and includes part group numbers.
