The History of Rock magazine came out in 1982. It was a weekly part-work magazine published by Orbis which looked into the 'history' of rock, examining various artists, recording studios and background to the music. With good, detailed information backed up excellent photographs, these magazines are great fun!

In this issue:
  • Straight from the heart – Is the blues the real core of Rock?
  • UK Blues – How R&B came to Great Britain
  • Hey! Bo Diddley – heavy rhythms from an oblong guitar
  • Loud and Clear – did Muddy Waters revolutionise the blues?
  • Gimme That Harp, Boy! – The Wailing harmonica of Jimmy Reed
  • Fame at the Flamingo – Georgie Fame’s route to the top
  • Blues in the Basement – Crawdaddy, Marquee and Ricky Tick circuit
  • The Great Musicians – Jean-Luc Ponty

The magazine has around 24 pages.
