Sand the surface to be painted with a P500 random orbital sander or P1000 to 1200 wet sandpaper and then degrease well (silicone remover).
When working on new or unpainted plastic surfaces, apply a plastic primer and observe the drying time.
Then apply the filler or a primer (1.7 or 1.8mm nozzle size),
Processing temperature at least 20°C.
Sand the surface well with the appropriate grit of wet sandpaper. smooth.
Then clean with silicone remover, the surface must be free of dust (we recommend a tack cloth) and grease.

Before applying the paint, check the shade (make a spray sample).
Later complaints are not possible.

The 2K or base coats should be processed with a 1.3 or 1.4 mm nozzle size with 2-3 spray coats and even pressure.
The temperature should be at least 20°C.
The 2K colors are approx. Dust-dry after 20-30 minutes. After 2 days, the 2K paint is completely dry and fully cured after 4 days.
If you are not satisfied with the degree of gloss or want to protect the paintwork, you can apply a 2K clear coat if you wish.
In the case of basic colors (ready-to-spray metallic or UNI), after approx. 20-30 minutes flash-off time (color dulls) can be painted over with a 2K clear coat.

Our primer recommendation:

We offer epoxy filler primer in our eBay shop. This creates rust protection and a filler structure at the same time. As a rule, these primers or fillers are gray. But that doesn't always work. For example, for red finishes you should use a white filler so that the red tone has a higher brilliance. Likewise, light base coats or paints with a high pearl content often have low opacity. A pre-coat or epox filler in the following color is required. Likewise, almost every new car today is pre-treated with a colored filler on the assembly line, which is cheaper even for small dents because the lower layer is the same color as the upper paint layer. A filler in the vehicle color also reduces the amount of final coat required because it covers more quickly.

Painting plastics:

Plastics that have already been painted can easily be painted after roughening them. If the existing paint layer has been sanded off or the plastic is raw, an adhesive bridge must be sprayed. If the plastic is exposed to vibrations, the paint can crack. In this case, 20-30% plasticizer can be added to the last layer of paint. Add-ons:

Refinishing is also known as “spot repair”. Prime and fill a small area of the area to be painted. Adjacent clear coat areas are finely sanded. Apply the base coat in thin layers from the inside to the outside so that the paint mist does not settle on the surface. Only apply the base coat from the outside to the inside during the last spray coat. Now the clear coat is sprayed over the painted area. Then add 50% blending thinner to the clear coat and spray the transition area. Finally, spray pure blending thinner again over the entire area and the transition.

Plain varnishes in matt:

All plain varnishes (single-layer 2-component varnishes) are high-gloss. These are usually mixed 2:1 with hardener + 15% thinner. You can also get all of these 2K plain varnishes in MATT upon request. This new trend usually has to be mixed 4:1 with hardener + 50% thinner. The price usually remains the same.
