This remote is originally made by Hampton Bay. This will also work with other remote including Harbor Breeze. 9V battery is not included. 

This remote has a 4-PIN dip switch behind the battery cover

4-PIN dip switch MUST be matched to the old remote or receiver

Warranty covers manufacturers defects/failures and excludes problems caused by abuse, improper install or tampering with components and/or intended purpose.
