Original, fully-licensed VCD release of the 1962 Hong Kong martial arts / wuxia / fantasy film, HOW THE APE GIRL STOLE THE LOTUS LAMP, which starred Walter Tso, Yu So-Chau, Josephine Siao, Lam Kau, Lau Yuet-Fung and Sek Kin. The film was directed by Wong Fung. The story of this classic black & white movie concerns a magical lotus lamp, and those who will cheat and steal to obtain it. The Ape Girl -- future big star, Josephine Siao -- does what the title says. There are also an army of monkey children, a special sword that controls the army, a fierce killer ape, a white-haired flying sifu, ninjas, plus perpetual villain Sek Kin -- for once not playing a complete villain! .............. This VCD is from the official Hong Kong release of the film ... produced by Winson Entertainment. I believe it was released in the early 2000s, in very limited numbers.
