Ron
Schmidt Brutalist Style Nail Art Sculpture Golfer
This midcentury modern brutalist design sculpture is created from cut
nails, steel, brass, and copper. Measuring 7.75” tall and 6” across, the female
figure poses with golf club in hand and wears a skirt made of copper. In 1978, Ron’s
peers bestowed upon him the title of King of the Nail Sculptors. His work has
been regularly shown throughout the United States for over thirty years, at
juried and invitational exhibitions.
The piece is in excellent condition, is signed by the artist, and
is a remarkable work of handcrafted art.
