Starting in 1927, the Deutsche Reichsbahn put 14 units of the E 60 series into service for the shunting service at the large Bavarian railway stations. Due to the distinctive shape of the housing, the locomotives were nicknamed "iron". In the years 1957/58 the vehicles were thoroughly overhauled and modernized. They were given shunter platforms and additional windows, among other things. Even in Era IV of the Deutsche Bundesbahn, NOCH few examples of the former BR E 60 (from 1968: BR 160) were still in use.

RELEASE EDITION
Over the next few years, selected models from the former Freilassing depot will be reproduced under the 'Edition Freilassing' label. In 1905 the first locomotives, NOCH steam locomotives at that time, moved into the engine shed with its 20 tracks. Around 20 years later, the electric locomotive workshop was built, and other buildings followed in the years that followed. ROCO also has a close relationship with the Bavarian city of Freilassing, as the first German sales office was located here. Look forward to the models of this unique edition!
