  • Produces by Chase Brass and Copper company
  • The onset of WW2 ceased production of their housewares as the factory turned to manufacturing military products and parts. Following the end of the war, Chase did not return to producing decorative items, making the existing pieces they produced quite rare and desirable.
  • American Art Deco
  • Von Nessen won an Award of Merit from the National Alliance of Art and Industry for this set
  • The set consists of a chrome on brass coffee pot, sugar and creamer with black bakelite handles and finial
  • The sugar only is marked with Chase and the centaur logo
  • Coffee pot is 8 1/4'' high to the top of finial handle
  • Coffee pot is about 4'' X 6 1/2'' with handle
  • Creamer is about 2 7/8'' high, 4'' X 5'' with handle
  • Sugar is about 2 7/2'' high, 3 1/4'' X  2 1/2''

CONDITION

  • Good Antique condition
  • Some scratches on chrome, see the 2 last pictures
  • Lid is missing on the creamer
  • Coffee Pot : There is a bump on edge of lid, Another bump on back of the lid where the lid rests when opened (maybe from manufacturing), One minor crazing on base of the bakelike finial handle on top - See 9th picture to see all of these
  • There is also a minor deformation of the spout of the coffee pot, see 10th picture
  • Otherwise, It's in very good condition considering the age
