I have been servicing McIntosh units for a while. With years I've developed deep respect toward McIntosh gear . It is a pity to see how many units are suffering from always failing incandescent bulbs! How much money is wasted for services to replace those incandescent bulbs over and over again! After many years of back and forth I decided to develop a perfect/exact LED replacement that has the same color temperature for the meters and greener bulbs for the lettering/paneling. The green color of the lettering, as time and practice showed, fades away and becomes less green. Due to this I decided to develop this green colored LED with foggy lens and proper voltage bulbs.  I got in touch with a manufacturer of LED bulbs and worked with them to develop this LED bulbs. I am glad to announce that I succeeded. I am very happy with the result and am sure you will be too!

These are frosted lens bulbs. The frosted lens allows much wider and even light distribution compared to a clear lens. There is no halo effect with the frosted lens.

1.  4 x  pieces 5.5" x 3.5"  of  blue light filter elements, enough for the 2 meters. Old gel filters turned brown and brittle with age due to heat generated by the incandescent OEM bulbs. 

2.  4  x green bayonet LED 6.3V bulbs .  These LED bulbs generate almost no heat, are super long lasting, and are color matched to the green lettering to help keep the original design. 

3. 8 x wedge LED 6.3V bulbs (ceramic body). These LED bulbs generate almost no heat, are super long lasting, and are color matched to the original bulbs to give the OEM look.

4. 3 x  LED Bi-Pin 14V bulbs (Meter Section/  Switches)

5. 2 x  Green LED Bi-Pin 14V bulbs (McIntosh Logo )

6. 4 x  incandescent Bi-Pin 14V bulbs ( PowerGuards )

(Much superior in comparison to the original incandescent bulbs. These do not produce any heat, heat that damages internal filters and boards. These are  very bright.)
