Offering a rare and highly collectible Antique figural purse featuring microbeaded embroidery of a shepherd tending his sheep in a pastoral setting of floral and fauna (similar on both sides). Edwardian era.
The ornate frame is stunning accented with colored stones, cabochons, faux pearls and elaborate enamelwork. All stones and faux pearls are present except 1 pearl. The chain is also set with jewels which is unusual! The purse opens by sliding the top jeweled finial.
This elegant purse still retains the green silk interior finished with metallic gold trim. The interior has 2 pockets and is in excellent condition.
The purse overall is in wonderful condition with minor bead loss. All of the frame jewels are intact except missing 1 pearl. One corner does have slight damage (see photos)
