Beautiful, highly figured bookmatched Ziricote top/bottom on catalpa + cherry core guitar body. Rear rout for controls with Ziricote control cover to match exactly grain of back plate. Neck pocket is sized for a t-style pocket. In order to build light and stable, this guitar body consists of 5 layers of lamination, 0.150 Ziricote top and bottom, plus additional layers of Wenge(the wenge is very difficult to see, as it is located just below the top ply of Ziricote), cherry and catalpa. For those not familiar with catalpa, it has an open grain, not unlike swamp ash, but slightly lighter and about 20 percent more stable.
Routed for 2 humbucker, volume and control knobs, and switch. 7/8 jack rout. Neck is 2 and 3/16 tele rout. Edges are routed at about 1/16 radius- only a slight easing- so you could add binding if desired.
Handmade body In US entirely in shop/from "scratch", not fender, sanded to 150 grit. Unfinished, photographed dry. Will need further sanding and work.  Because of the chambered body and lightweight core construction, this guitar body weighs about 4 pounds, 0 oz on my scale. Last pic shows the pattern I used for the chambering of the body- this photo is for illustration only, this is not a picture of this actual body.
