Adjustable pin switch for multiple applications. Used in 12 volt application to supply a negative signal to alarm, Remote starters, dome illumination, etc.
Pin switch is mounted in the grounded chassis of a vehicle. When pressed or held down switch contact is open (no Connection). When switch plunger is released or trigger point is opened contact from chassis ground is made with connecting wire to supply ground signal to a alarm, remote start, dome light illumination, etc.
Switch can mounted in non conductive material if a grounding wire and ring are used to electrically connect the switch to chassis ground. Diodes can be used for electrical isolation in multiple trigger point applications.
