Vintage Japanese miniature toy helicopter by Kashiwai, model N1271A, probably dating from the 1960s, in excellent condition.

Kashiwai’s logo which appears on the toy is the letter K within a diamond within a circle. They were also known as Lucky Toy. Toys made by the company are now increasingly collectable.

The body of the helicopter is made from plastic and cockpit and blade from tin plate. Great printed detailing of pilots and passengers.

Friction powered - the blade rotates when the helicopter is wheeled along the floor (see video).

Height (including blades): 6cm

Condition

In overall excellent condition for its age, with only very slight fading to the plastic and a few slight dints to the top of the blade (see photos).
