Description:
The SilverHorse Racing Tru-Billet doors were the first and only ones on the market made from over 5 Lbs. of solid 6061-T6 certified aluminum billets, machined down to an exact fit instead of being bent or cast into shape. This results in a part that is lighter than the original factory fuel door it replaces, yet will take just about whatever abuse you want to throw at it. After anodizing or plating, they are hand-assembled using stainless steel hardware, precision ground stainless hinge spacer/washers, and nylon mounting bushings for a perfect, no-drill fit. Retention and closing of the door is accomplished with cadmium-plated press-fit neodymium magnets and an exclusive striker plate that is retained by stainless steel hardware, not loose-fitting glued-in components.
