Up for sale is a very rare antique early 19th century handmade American forged steel cylindrical door lock.
It's crafted out of thick steel, has good weight, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.
It is a unique/rare form with a handmade wrought steel key that turns the threaded locking mechanism.
The piece is in good working condition and measures 8 1/2 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide.
